Carry with purpose.

From our company's inception, we wanted to do more than create products that we really believe in and love. As parents ourselves, we want to help children--the literal future of our world--in the most basic and meaningful way possible. So with every bag sold, charlotte+asher provides five vaccinations to children in need through Shot@Life.

Vaccinations are perhaps the easiest way to save a life. 1.5 million children under the age of 5 still die each year from vaccine-preventable diseases, particularly pneumonia, diarrhea, measles, and polio. Vaccinations can protect children from these diseases, and are much more cost-effective than hospitalizing a sick child. It is also shown that good health promotes socio-economic development. So vaccinations not only help children physically, they can also help them and those around them have a more prosperous future!

We understand that in some developed countries, especially the US, vaccines have become a polarizing topic, partially due to a belief that they cause autism. We want to help put this falsehood to an end. Vaccines do not cause autism, and there have been numerous studies that prove this. We are also aware that some parents have other concerns regarding vaccinations, but rest assured vaccines are safe, and especially necessary in recent disease outbreaks to protect those who are too young to be vaccinated, or those who are immunocompromised.

The founders have backgrounds related to medicine; Chantal and her husband met in a pre-med post-baccalaureate program and Laura is married to a doctor. Our desire is not to alienate anyone, but to promote scientific education so we can join together to prevent the spread of diseases that no one should have to experience. Our mission is to raise awareness about vaccinations and protect children, so they can go on to live healthy and happy lives.
